Tersane Oyu, is a very beautifull and quiet anchorage south of Turquey.
There is one gate to cross west of Cyprus.
Waiting for the start, you can try to sail in the Suez channel, very good to work the waypoints.
Start Friday August 30, at 20h00 UTC+2

Yes, found him! At least he was smart enough to register in the forum with his boat name! Not like someone else I know ;)

Hi guys. Great to see that the first LS sailors have joined regattagame. I expect this site will have a considerable learning curve for me. Looks a bit complicated. :roll:

Hello frank, welcome aboard, it's not very complicated, it's just another way to play.

There will be a new interface in a few days..

First of all you have to read the user manual ;

viewtopic.php?f=65&t=190

In one month you will be a top player :D

ps : you can practice on the challenges

Thanks for the support Andre. I'm trying out the tools at the moment in the Marseille-Carthage challenge.

coromandel...quel beau nom de bateau qui emporte l'esprit au loin...
mais ça fait rêver à quoi en fait? j'hésite entre la Nouvelle Zélande, les rivages d'Inde, la Chine ou le parfum de Chanel 8-) :roll:

Hi LS friends great to see a nice fleet sailing the Med.

I wonder whether RG has an autostart as the starting time is for me during the silent hours ;)
I try it out and tomorrow will see whether I am still in Egypte or about at the latitude of Cyprus :lol:

fair winds

Hello Paradise;

This is what happens when a race starts:
(all times in UTC+2 during summer time, and UTC+1 during summer time

- a few days before the start, the race is open and you can sail around to test the boat
- at 18h00 (2 hours befoe the start), the boats are placed at the starting point, all with the same starting heading, and all with no sail (anchor)
- at 18h30 , if the wind download is ok, the new wind forecasts are displayed on the map: the +12h wind forecast will be shifted to +0h at 20h00
- you can set a sail and a heading as soon as the boats are placed at the starting point (at 18h00), but it's better to wait for the winds forcast at 18h30 for this
- this way, your boat will start automatically at 20h00, you'll be able to see its move by refreshing at 20h00X, X being the race iteration minute
- before start, once you have set a sail, you can also set some scheduler points after 20h00, so that your boat will follow these schedule
- first schedule point time can be at 20h01, but a schedule point at 20h00 the day of the start is not valid; this way, if you can not take care of your boat between 18h00 and 20h00 (to set a sail and a heading), you could set some scheduler points, the first being at 20h01
- or, if you have some reliable friends, give them your login credentials so that the take care of your boat up you come back online again

Hope this help, ask if something is not clear.
