Scheduler and wind updates

I'm not quite clear as to the internals of the game engine . So my question is: Where should I place my scheduler waypoint where there is a wind update scheduled?

Should I place it at:

1) The iteration minute just before the wind change e.g. 19:56 if iteration minute is 6, or
2) Exactly at the wind change (0800 and 2000, French time), or
3) The iteration minute after the wind change, e.g. 20:06 if iteration minute is 6.

Thanks anyone who can clear this up for me. I believed 1) was the right answer until I saw the WP tool allowed for internal changes within an iteration period. Now I'm not so sure, maybe 2) is better.

Just a confused soul seeking some help

Hi limelight

The right answer is 1 :)

Put a scheduler waypoint at 07h5N or 19h5N (N being the race iteration minute) to be sync with the winds updates.

Not related, but a little trick about the scheduler: if you enter a wind cell with better winds parameters, put a scheduler point as soon as you enter this cell, even if it is not on an iteration minute, then the game engine will take the new wind parameters during the minutes to the end of the iteration... ;)

Thanks Blaise. I sort of convinced myself after a while that 1) was the right answer. Actually all day today I've done 19:5(N+1) because it showed the new wind in the TWA box whereas 19:5N showed the old wind direction.

As to your second point, that's exactly what I do.
