Emden- Rostock challenge

The Emden- Rostock challenge is a race against the clock. The final ranking is made on the basis of the time elapsed to complete the route from start to end.

That was interesting, I saw André going East, so I went West. West is shorter, but the winds meant I would have to tack a lot. But at the weather update, bad surprise, the winds were weaker than predicted. Now I see I'll have to go through another weather update before finishing. Smiticks will be well ahead of me :)

Well done André!

Meanwhile, it teaches me to play with the double programming. :mrgreen:

Nothing at all wrong with it. The only real nit is the boat moving a bit slower than the panel indicates, it's such an obvious thing to fix that I wonder why they haven't done it. But that's not all that important. Maybe they've even done it so on purpose to mislead those using routers (why try to mislead them? I don't know, but it's evident that they try to, like modifying the NOAA grib files to annoy zyGrib & VRTool users. I can't see the point myself).

Shouldn't this Challenge be named Wilhelmshaven - Rostock instead of Emden - Rostock? The actual departure point on the RG map is about 80km east of Emden.
