Polars_VRTool converter
I don't know if anyone still uses VRTool but if you do and need to convert the RG's csv polar files for it, I made an Excel converter, it's available at:
http://madinstro.net/rg/VRTool_converter.xlsx
It produces two VRTool compatible pages that you can export to csv files. One is full size (every knot and every degree) and the other is much smaller but probably still good enough (every 5 knots and every 5 degrees).
The first tab ("polars") is where the work is done, there is a brief HOWTO that explains what to do in English, (but also in French so Antoine may also use it )
Cheers,
John

Re: Polars_VRTool converter
Hi John,
Thanks to share it. Yes, some still use Vrtool and will have a look for sure (I will).
I'm back from summer leave and happy to see many new players joining RG. I'm sad that LS will end but hope many will find here a good game.

Re: Polars_VRTool converter
You will notice I have now set the "factor" at 0.954 so the produced polars match the game engine
If you downloaded the file prior to me changing the factor, then simply change the 1 to 0.954 yourself.

I am newbie here, can you tell me how can I use Vrtool for RegattaGame? It's possible to get the boat position automatic or just manually?limelight a écrit :I don't know if anyone still uses VRTool but if you do and need to convert the RG's csv polar files for it, I made an Excel converter, it's available at:

Re: Polars_VRTool converter
I'm a newbie as well , I think Zedstar uses VRTool so you had best ask him the question. I don't use it myself but I know the format that they use for their polars hence why I made the converter.curupira a écrit :I am newbie here, can you tell me how can I use Vrtool for RegattaGame? Re: Polars_VRTool converter
I've now converted all the polars in "light" format (every 5 knots and every 5 degrees) to what I believe is the correct format for VRTool.
They can be found at https://madinstro.net/rg/VRTool/
